No bail for failed GOP candidate accused in string of N.M. shootings

Solomon Pena, the GOP candidate arrested in reference to shootings on the properties of outstanding Albuquerque, N.M., Democrats after shedding an election, was denied bail on Monday.

Pena was arrested Jan. 9 and accused of arranging multiple shootings on the properties of native Democrats. The Republican had run for a seat within the New Mexico State Home final fall and misplaced, claiming the election was rigged.

A decide dominated Monday that Pena, 39, poses a hazard to the group and should stay in custody pending trial. Nobody was injured within the shootings.
