A&W Eating places Trolls M&M’s Over Mascot Retirement


M&M’s made headlines earlier this week when the corporate introduced that it might be “indefinitely” retiring its beloved “spokescandies” mascots within the wake of an uproar over a “ladies’s empowerment” marketing campaign and the altering of the mascots’ outfits to make them extra numerous.

Now, different corporations are following swimsuit. On the heels of M&M’s reveal, A&W Eating places made a cheeky announcement that its beloved mascot, Rooty the Nice Root Bear, would not be pants-less — he’ll now put on denims.
