Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) lamented the expansion of the GOP’s “loopy caucus” as Republicans put together to take management of the chamber in January, ABC News experiences.
Schiff was requested about GOP chief Kevin McCarthy’s promise to kick Schiff off the intelligence committee, to which Schiff responded that he thinks McCarthy will comply with the lead of hardline lawmakers.
Stated Schiff: “Effectively, I think he’ll do no matter Marjorie Taylor Greene desires him to do. He’s a really weak chief of this convention, that means that he’ll adhere to the desires of the bottom frequent denominator, and if that lowest frequent denominator desires to take away individuals from committees, that’s what they’ll do.”
He added: “It’s going to be chaos with Republican management. And, sadly, the loopy caucus has grown among the many Republicans.”
