The NBA suspended Los Angeles Lakers guard Patrick Beverley for 3 video games with out pay on Thursday for forcefully shoving Phoenix Suns heart Deandre Ayton from behind and knocking him to the court docket.

Per the NBA launch, the suspension was “primarily based partly on Beverley’s historical past of unsportsmanlike acts.”

The incident occurred with 3:55 left within the fourth quarter of the Lakers’ 115-105 loss at Phoenix on Tuesday.

He’ll start serving his suspension on Friday when the Lakers go to the San Antonio Spurs. He’s eligible to return for Los Angeles’ sport towards the Portland Path Blazers on Wednesday.
