Pakistani PM names ex-spy grasp to be new military chief

ISLAMABAD — Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has determined to nominate the nation’s former spy chief as head of the nation’s military, the knowledge minister stated Thursday.

Maryam Aurangzeb tweeted Sharif’s resolution to call Lt. Gen. Syed Asim Munir as the brand new military chief, shortly after the premier presided over an important Cupboard assembly within the capital, Islamabad. Munir would substitute retiring military chief Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa.
